ABOUT IDW ENTERTAINMENT

IDW Entertainment is the studio division of IDW Publishing. Since launching in 2013, IDW Entertainment has been charged with developing, producing and financing scripted content in both TV and features from sister company IDW Publishingʼs extensive library of comic books and graphic novels.

IDW Entertainmentʼs past series include two seasons of Dirk Gently, based on the best-selling comic novels by Douglas Adams and starring Sam Barnett and Elijah Wood, on BBC America in the U.S. and Netflix worldwide. Current series include three seasons of SYFYʼs Wynonna Earp, which is in production on a fourth season, and the Netflix original series October Faction, from comic book creator Steve Niles and showrunner Damian Kindler, which premiered in January 2020.

Also now streaming are the Netflix original series Locke & Key, based on the best-selling comic book series from Joe Hill, with showrunners Carlton Cuse and Meredith Averill; and the Netflix original series V-Wars, starring Ian Somerhalder and based on the best-selling graphic and prose novels by Jonathan Maberry. In addition to these series, IDW Entertainment has a busy slate of scripted projects in various stages of development.

Founded in 1999, and now with a 20-year legacy in the comic book business, IDW Publishing has over 400 creator-driven titles in its ever-expanding library.
